The 2019 National Trail Baseball Tournament is underway and will continue at four different locations today (Monday).
Brownstown/St. Elmo opened the tournament with a 4-2 win Friday over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.
The Bombers will now face top-seeded North Clay today at 4 p.m. in Louisville.
All first-round and semifinal round games will be played at the school with the higher seed.
Here are the other games scheduled for today at 4 p.m.:
South Central (No. 2) will host Neoga (No. 7); Windsor/Stew-Stras (No. 6) are at St. Anthony (No. 2); and Altamont (No. 4) will be at home against Dieterich (No. 5).
Semifinal games will be played at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The third place and championship contests will then be played Friday at Paul Smith Field in Effingham. The third place game will begin at 4 p.m., followed by the championship contest at 7 p.m.
St. Anthony is not only the defending champion, but it has won the NTC Tourney the last four years in a row.
