Hay Ergland and Josh Tiemann combined for six hits and seven RBI Wednesday afternoon, leading Woodlawn to an 8-2 victory at home over St. Anthony.
Ergland had three hits and drove home four, while Tiemann also collected three hits with three RBI. In addition, Tiemann turned in a strong seven-inning performance on the mound. He limited the Bulldogs to three hits, while walking three and striking out four.
Logan Antrim had all three hits for St. Anthony. He had a lead-off double in the first. He then stole third base and scored on a fly ball by Kennan Walsh. He also singled in the third and fifth. The Bulldogs used an error, a hit batter and a groundout by Josh Blanchette to score their last run in the second.
Colton Fearday pitched five innings for SAHS and took the loss. He allowed seven hits and seven runs, but six were unearned. He struck out seven and walked two.
The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 7-5 on the fall season. They will host Brownstown/St. Elmo on Friday.
