South Central fell behind by four runs, but rallied for a 7-4 victory at St. Anthony.
The Bulldogs built a 4-0 lead after three innings, but the Cougars scored four times in the fourth to tie it and then pushed across three more tallies in the sixth to get the win.
SAHS grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Logan Antrim led off with a double and eventually scored when a third strike on Eli Moore got away from the South Central catcher.
In the third, Connor Roepke’s lead-off single sparked a three-run inning. Roepke stole second and scored on a base hit by Moore. Brody Niebrugge then ripped an RBI double and eventually scored on a passed ball.
Chase Dotson went the first six innings to get the win for South Central. Antrim got the loss. He pitched 5.1 innings, allowing five hits and six runs, while walking three and striking out seven.
The Bulldogs, now 8-9, will play at home Thursday against Teutopolis.
