The St. Anthony Bulldogs banged out 16 hits and used a big seven-run inning to pull away and post a 12-1, six-inning victory Friday at Dieterich.

Colton Fearday, Brody Niebrugge, Will Hoene and Eli Levitt each collected three hits, helping the Bulldogs notch their sixth win of the fall season.

St. Anthony jumped on top early, scoring two first-inning runs. Beau Adams was hit by a pitch and then scored on a double by Colton Fearday. An error allowed the second run to score.

The Maroons scored their lone run in the bottom of the first. Noah Dill had a lead-off single and later scored on an RBI single by Braden Shadle.

The Bulldogs then scored two runs in the second and added another tally in the third to build the lead to 5-1. It stayed that way until the sixth.

St. Anthony had six hits in the frame and also took advantage of a pair of errors to score three unearned runs and a wild pitch accounted for another. Colton Fearday had two hits in the inning, including an RBI single. Brock Jansen also drove in a run with a base hit and Adams added a run-scoring triple.

Niebrugge pitched five strong innings to get the win. He allowed just three hits and one unearned run in five innings of work. He struck out nine and walked two.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-2. They will return to action Thursday with a road game at Neoga.
