The St. Anthony soccer team kicked off the postseason in impressive fashion Saturday, posting a 7-0 victory over Vandalia in a first-round game of the Teutopolis Class 1A Regional.

The Bulldogs will now face the host Wooden Shoes at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The winner of that match will play for the regional championship at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Luke Swingler recorded a “hat trick” by scoring three goals for T-Town. Will Swingler added two goals, while Jack Elder and Reilly Ashton each had a goal. Will Swingler had two assists in the contest, while Luke Swingler, Elder, Ashton and Kevin Gonzalez also recorded assists.

The Bulldogs improved to 8-11-2 on the season.
