The Lady Shoes got on the scoreboard with an unearned run in the bottom of the fourth. Chloe Hoene reached on an error, went to second on a fielder’s choice and scored when CJ Apke lined a single to centerfield. T-Town’s only other hit was a seventh-inning single by Olivia Copple.

St. Anthony completed the scoring with a five-run seventh. An error allowed one run to score, Sydney Kibler drove home a pair with a base hit and Maddie Kibler accounted for the final two runs with her second double of the game.

Rios, Wernsing and Coffin all had two hits in the 18-hit attack.

Sydney Kibler pitched the first four innings to get the win. She allowed just one hit and one run, while walking three and striking out five. Wernsing pitched the final three frames, giving up one hit. She walked one and struck out two.

Alyssa Tipton took the loss for T-Town. She went the first 3.2 innings. Olivia Hemmen pitched the final 3.1 frames.

The Lady Shoes dipped to 12-13 on the season. They will return home Monday to face Shelbyville.

The Lady Bulldogs have won seven straight and are now 19-2. They will open play in the National Trail Conference Tournament on Monday. St. Anthony is the top seed and will face North Clay at 4:15 p.m. All games will be played at Evergreen Hollow Park in Effingham.
