The St. Anthony Bulldogs scored the first 11 points of the game Friday night and were never threatened.
St. Anthony built a 20-7 lead after eight minutes and rolled to a 69-35 win at home on Homecoming.
After a sub-par performance Tuesday night, the Bulldogs bounced back in impressive fashion. By halftime, they owned a 39-15 advantage and increased the margin to 55-23 heading into the final quarter.
St. Anthony torched the nets on offense, making 61 percent of their shots. They were 28-of-46 overall, including 6-of-11 from three-point range. They were also 7-of-11 from the foul line, pulled down 30 rebounds and turned the ball over 10 times.
Jaccob Dust turned in a double-double performance with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Jack Hoene and Logan Antrim also reached double figures with 16 and 14 points respectively.
The Bulldogs remained undefeated on the young season, improving to 6-0. They will face two National Trail Conference opponents this week. They will host Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Tuesday and then travel to Brownstown/St. Elmo Friday night.
St. Anthony also won the junior varsity contest, 59-21. Seth Hotze scored 12 points, while Grant Nuxoll and Eli Moore both had 10.
