St. Anthony outscored Charleston 25-14 in the second quarter Saturday night to build a sizeable lead, en route to a 65-43 road victory.

Jaccob Dust scored all 11 of St. Anthony’s first-quarter points, helping the Bulldogs take an 11-4 lead. But six different players scored in the second period. Jack Hoene and Kaden Fearday both connected on shots from long range and at halftime, SAHS had a comfortable 36-18 advantage.

St. Anthony didn’t let up in the third quarter and heading into the final eight minutes, the Bulldogs were in command, 54-33.

Dust finished with a game-high 24 points to lead three St. Anthony players in double figures. Fearday scored 13 and Hoene added 10.

St. Anthony improved to 17-3 and will next compete in the National Trail Conference Tournament in Altamont. The Bulldogs, the No. 1 seed, will play at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday against either St. Elmo/Brownstown or Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.

Charleston won the junior varsity game 51-41. Seth Hotze had seven points for St. Anthony.
