The Altamont Lady Indians are headed to the sectional tournament.

The talented Lady Indians jumped out to a quick lead Friday night and rolled to a 64-30 victory over St. Anthony in the championship game of the St. Anthony Class 1A Regional.

Altamont, now 26-6 on the year, advances to the Casey-Westfield Sectional. The Lady Indians will face Central A&M at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Mary Guse hit a pair of 3-pointers and Ellie McManaway added seven points, helping Altamont build a 23-9 lead after the opening eight minutes. By halftime, it was 32-16. The Lady Indians then outscored St. Anthony 20-5 in the third period to open a commanding 52-21 advantage.

Guse and Allyson Hardiek led Altamont with 16 points apiece. McManaway scored 12 and Rachel Jackman added 10.

Grace Karolewicz led St. Anthony with nine points and Lucy Fearday added seven.

The Lady Bulldogs finished their season with a 13-16 record.
