Altamont’s Grace Nelson was back at it again Thursday night.
The freshman sensation poured in 36 points, leading the Lady Indians to a 74-51 win at home over St. Anthony.
Altamont led 20-14 after the opening eight minutes, but expanded that lead to 42-24 at halftime and 61-39 after three quarters.
Nelson’s teammate Brooke Runge scored 16 points and both girls pulled down eight rebounds.
St. Anthony’s Lucy Fearday also had a big game. The sophomore turned in an impressive double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. Riley Guy chipped in 14 points for the Lady Bulldogs.
SAHS shot 33 percent overall, connecting on 20-of-61 attempts. They were 2-of-10 from long range and 9-of-14 from the foul line. The Lady Bulldogs held a 42-33 rebounding edge, but turned the ball over 22 times.
St. Anthony dipped to 3-5 overall and 3-2 in the National Trail Conference. The Lady Bulldogs will return home to face Sullivan on Saturday.
