St. Anthony hosted Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Tuesday night and dropped a close three-game match.
CHBC won the opener 25-20. St. Anthony came back to win the middle game 26-24, but the guests took the match with a 25-22 decision in the deciding game.
For the Lady Bulldogs, Elizabeth Kabbes had 3 kills, 2 aces, 13 points; Claire Schneidemantel 3 kills, 1 block; Stella Passalacqua 4 kills; Kate Hartke 2 aces, 6 points; Taylor Ritz 6 kills, 1 point; Lucy Fearday 5 kills, 2 blocks, 4 points; Kyra Swearingen 23 assists, 3 points; Ada Rozene 5 kills, 1 block, 9 points.
St. Anthony won the junior varsity match by scores of 25-22, 25-17; and the freshman contest 25-7, 25-15.
The Lady Bulldogs will host its own invitational Saturday.
