The St. Anthony volleyball season came to a close Tuesday night.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped a three-game decision to Hutsonville in an opening-round match of the Casey-Westfield Class 1A Regional.

All three games were close. Hutsonville won the opener 25-21, but St. Anthony came back to take the second game 26-24. In the deciding third game, Hutsonville squeaked out a 27-25 win to survive and advance.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Elizabeth Kabbes had 1 kill, 5 points; Stella Passalacqua 4 kills, 2 blocks; Kate Hartke 3 aces, 6 points; Taylor Ritz 4 kills, 7 points; Lucy Fearday 9 kills, 2 aces, 1 block, 7 points; Kyra Swearingen 1 ace, 30 assists, 3 points; Ada Rozene 13 kills, 1 block, 6 points; and Rileigh Haarmann 3 kills, 2 blocks.
