Logan Lawson pitched a complete game and the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes received 13 walks, leading to a 9-2 win at home Friday afternoon over Flora.

Lawson allowed just three hits in his seven-inning, 91-pitch performance. He walked two and struck out five.

The Shoes never trailed after scoring three first-inning runs without benefit of a hit. There were three walks and two Flora errors in the frame.

The hosts took total control in the third. After two outs, Devin Kreke walked, Garrett Gaddis lined a double and Zac Niebrugge walked to load the bases. Brett Kreke followed with a double that drove home two and Mitch Koester capped the four-run inning with a two-run single to increase the T-Town lead to 7-0.

Teutopolis wrapped up its scoring with two runs in the fifth.

The Shoes, who improved to 8-4, were scheduled to be back in action today (Saturday) with a game at Salem.
