Gaddis added another three and scored eight points in the quarter, helping the Shoes take a 28-17 advantage to the locker room at halftime.

“We had some good looks at the beginning, but we struggled to put the ball in the hole,” Reeder said. “Then Garrett came in and got the lid off the basket for us. It’s a luxury having a kid come off the bench that can score like that.”

James Niebrugge hit a jumper and Brendan Niebrugge added a three to open the second half and expand the margin to 16 points, 33-17. The lead fluctuated between 11 and 15 points the remainder of the third quarter. Heading into the final eight minutes, the Shoes were on top, 41-29.

The Eagles never got closer than 12 points in the fourth period. James Niebrugge had a pair of baskets and the Shoes went 6-for-6 from the line to secure the victory down the stretch.

James Niebrugge had a big game for the Shoes, finishing with a double-double. He had a game-high 15 points and 14 rebounds.

“James was great in every aspect today,” Reeder said. “He was all over the place. I told I needed him to attack. I told him our aggressive nature had to be led by him. He responded in a big way.”

Siemer and Gaddis both finished with 13 points. The Shoes were 16-for-40 from the floor, a 40 percent clip. They were 4-for-16 from three-point range and 17-for-22 at the line. They held a 35-18 rebounding edge.

“Rebounding like that against a team like Brooks is incredible,” Reeder said. “I thought the kids did a great job of getting position and then getting two hands on the ball. I’m very proud of their effort today.”

The Shoes improved to 11-1 on the season and will now face St. Anthony with a trip to the championship game on the line.

“Nothing changes for us. Our approach is always one game at a time no matter who we’re playing,” Reeder said. “We’re pleased with the position we’re in, but our goal is to continue building a better basketball team each game.

“Playing two games in one game, obviously, will require making some adjustments,” Reeder added. “We know we’re facing a good team. Cody (Rincker) always does a good job and has his team playing very well. It should be a great game.”
