Kaylee Niebrugge continued her strong season, posting yet another double-double Saturday and leading the Teutopolis Lady Shoes to a 47-43 win over Rochester at the Breese Central Shootout.
The game was close throughout. The Lady Rockets led 12-10 after the opening eight minutes and it was 18-18 at halftime. T-Town outscored Rochester 13-8 in the third period to take a 31-26 advantage into the final quarter.
Niebrugge scored seven points and Chloe Probst added six more, helping the Lady Shoes secure their 15th win of the season.
Niebrugge finished with 21 points and 12 points. Emily Konkel scored nine points and both Probst and Summer Wall added six. Kaylen Reed had 15 points for Rochester, which fell to 14-5 on the season.
The Lady Shoes, who improved to 15-2 on the season, will have another tough test Monday when they return home to face Bethalto Civic Memorial.
