Mollie Ruholl came out red hot for the Teutopolis Lady Shoes.
She knocked down a pair of three-pointers and scored 12 points in the opening quarter Tuesday, helping the Lady Shoes seize control early, en route to a 61-35 victory over Belleville East in the Apex Network Physical Therapy Highland Girls Basketball Tournament.
T-Town was back in action today (Wednesday) at 6:30 p.m.
Behind Ruholl’s shooting, the Lady Shoes raced to a 22-7 lead over the Lady Lancers and were never threatened. Chloe Probst tallied 11 points in the second period, helping THS build its advantage to 47-21 at intermission.
Probst finished with a game-high 19 points, while Ruholl scored 14 and Kelsey Niemerg added 10.
The Lady Shoes are now 14-7 on the season.
