The Teutopolis Lady Shoes outscored St. Joe-Ogden 14-4 in the fourth quarter Thursday night to pull away and post a 48-31 road victory.
T-Town led throughout, but the Lady Spartans were always within striking distance through the third quarter. The Lady Shoes led 12-8 after eight minutes, 23-18 at halftime and 34-27 heading into the fourth period.
Olivia Niemerg hit a 3-pointer and Lexie Niebrugge added four points in the final eight minutes to help THS expand the lead down the stretch.
Three Lady Shoes reached double figures. Ciara Roepke led the way with 13 points, while Karsyn Mette scored 12 and Niebrugge added 10. Mette also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds, while Niemerg had six steals and dished out four assists.
The Lady Shoes, now 7-1 and ranked in the AP’s Top 10 for Class 2A, will return home Monday to face Danville. They will also play Saturday at Olney.
