Lexie Niebrugge poured in six three-pointers and the Teutopolis Lady Shoes had no problem Saturday afternoon, running away for a 58-13 victory at home over Meridian.

Niebrugge drained one three in both the first and second periods and then connected on four more in the third quarter, en route to a game-high 22-point performance.

The Lady Shoes raced to a 16-1 lead after the opening eight minutes and never looked back. It was 37-4 at intermission and 52-9 heading into the final quarter.

Niebrugge was 6-for-11 from long range and 8-for-13 overall. Kaitlyn Schumacher led the team with eight rebounds and four assists, while Emily Konkel had four steals.

THS improved to 6-2 overall. The Lady Shoes will return to Apollo Conference action this next week. They will play at home against Lincoln on Monday; at home against Mattoon on Thursday; and travel to Taylorville Saturday. The T-Town girls are 4-2 in league play.
