The Teutopolis boys and girls cross country teams ran in a multi-team meet Thursday afternoon at Sullivan

Jessica Runde finished first in the girls race, helping the Lady Shoes to a second place finish with 45 points and only two points behind the meet winner Tuscola. Cerro Gordo, Arthur, Bement and Sullivan also competed.

Runde’s winning time was 21:49. Also for THS, Abby Bloemer was fifth in 24:15, Tori Tensen seventh in 24:50, Hope Bueker 16th in 27:33 and Aubrey Collins 18th in 27:52 to round out the team scoring. Also running were Ella Zumbahlen (28:20), Kylie Hoelscher (28:21) and Katie Kingery (28:23).

The T-Town boys team finished runner-up. Arthur, which had five runners place in the top 11, was the overall winner with 29 points. The Shoes had 62 points, followed by Tuscola with 73 and Sullivan with 110. Bement and Cerro Gordo didn’t have enough runners to qualify for team points.

Ethan Weidner led Teutopolis with a third place finish and a time of 18:44. Cole Probst ran 12th in 20:02, Jack Waldhoff 14th in 20:35, Kendall Tabbert 16th in 20:41 and Ben Kitten 17th in 20:50 to complete the team scoring. Also running were Brody Mette (21:17), Joey Lee (21:48), Jack Vonderheide (21:58), Miles Drees (21:59), Devon Probst (23:46) and Toby Isley (29:54).

The Shoes will compete today (Saturday) in the Paris Invitational.
