St. Anthony’s winning streak is now at nine after Wednesday’s 11-4 win at home over Charleston.

The Bulldogs fell behind 3-2 early, but then scored the final nine runs of the game to get the victory. The Bulldogs banged out 13 hits.

St. Anthony took the lead for good in the third. With two outs, Will Hoene walked and Angelo Mendella was hit by a pitch. Eli Link then delivered a two-run double to give the Bulldogs a 4-3 lead.

They scored three runs in the fifth. Connor Roepke and Eli Levitt both had RBI singles in that inning. The Bulldogs then wrapped up the scoring with a four-run sixth. Levitt, who had three hits in the game, had an RBI double, while Brady Hatton and Brody Niebrugge both came through with run-scoring singles.

Colton Fearday pitched the first five innings to get the win. He allowed four hits and three runs, while walking four and striking out seven. Brock Fearday relieved in the sixth and pitched the final two innings.

The Bulldogs are now 10-2 on the season. They will return to action today (Wednesday) with a home game against Salem and will then travel to Altamont on Friday.
