Aaron Webb fired a two-hitter and Eli Moore drove home four runs Wednesday, leading the St. Anthony Bulldogs to a 10-0, six-inning victory at home over Odin/Patoka.
Webb didn’t walk a batter and struck out four in his 83-pitch performance. The guests had only five baserunners the entire game and Webb retired the side in order three times.
Moore, along with Kennan Walsh, Davis Tingley, Webb and Angelo Mendella, each had two hits to lead the 13-hit attack. The Bulldogs scored in every inning but the first.
The three-run second proved to be all the runs St. Anthony needed. Tingley, Webb and Gavin Braunecker each singled to start the inning. Moore drove home two with a base hit and Mendella’s single made it 3-0.
Moore had another RBI single as part of a three-run third and Walsh drove home a tally in the fourth to increase the Bulldogs advantage to 7-0.
Moore’s fourth RBI came on a ground out in the fifth, followed by a run-scoring triple by Mendella. Tingley ended the contest with a base hit that drove home the 10th run in the bottom of the sixth.
The Bulldogs, who improved to 3-3 on the season, will host Altamont at 4:30 p.m. Friday and then play at Altamont Saturday at 10 a.m.
