After leading for much of the game, St. Anthony saw Robinson rally from a five-point deficit. The host Maroons maintained a two-point lead as the clock ticked down at the end of regulation. After getting a nice pass from Stewart, Fearday appeared to be headed for a game-tying basket, but got fouled.

With just five-tenths of a second left, the freshman calmly made both foul shots to tie the game and force the overtime.

“It was like deja vu,” St. Anthony coach Cody Rincker said. “It reminded me of the Knoxville game. We had the lead and then let it slip away late. But the kids learned from that game. They did a much better job of staying aggressive and being strong with the ball.”

The game was close throughout. The Bulldogs, playing without leading scorer Craig Croy, who is dealing with a foot injury, led 12-8 after the opening eight minutes, 28-24 at intermission and 38-37 entering the final quarter.

Cooper Loll scored 25 points and Noah Gilmore added 21 for the Maroons.

Stewart and Sehy led four St. Anthony players in double figures. Sehy finished with a game-high 26 points, while Stewart netted 24. Brock Fearday scored 12 and Max Koenig added 11.

“We needed this in the worst way,” Rincker said. “Again, we led the game almost the whole way, but then lost it. But this time, we came back to win in double overtime. That was a great win for us.”

The Bulldogs are now 9-8 on the season. They will return to action Saturday with a road game at Paris.
