Craig Croy poured in 23 points, leading the St. Anthony Bulldogs to a 54-42 road win Tuesday night at South Central.
That sets up a showdown with Altamont next week with the National Trail Conference regular season title on the line.
The Bulldogs are now a perfect 7-0 in league play and have clinched at least a share. They will host the Indians next Tuesday night with a chance to claim sole possession. The Indians will enter the contest with one loss in the conference. Altamont defeated St. Anthony in the championship game of the NTC Tournament just 10 days ago.
The Bulldogs got tested by South Central.
Croy knocked down a pair of three-pointers and scored 10 points to help SAHS build an 18-11 lead after the first quarter. The host Cougars came back to get within one point, 24-23, at halftime.
The Bulldogs were up 37-30 entering the final eight minutes. Croy then connected on two more shots from behind the arc and netted 10 points again, helping St. Anthony outscore South Central 17-12 and secure the victory.
The Bulldogs finished with 10 three-pointers in the game. They got five from Croy and three from Griffin Sehy, who finished with nine points. Kyle Stewart and Brock Fearday also connected from long range.
The Bulldogs are now 15-12 on the season overall. They will participate in the Wooden Shoes Shootout on Saturday in Teutopolis. They are scheduled to play Mattoon at 4 p.m.
