The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes didn’t let an early 4-0 deficit deter them.

The Shoes rallied to score the next eight runs, en route to a 10-7 win Tuesday afternoon at Breese Mater Dei.

T-Town trailed 4-0 after the first two innings, but started the comeback in the third. Caleb Siemer started things with a base hit and then scored on a double by Sam Bushur. The second run scored on a wild pitch, and then with two outs, Conner Siemer singled and Dylan Pruemer delivered a two-run single to tie the score.

The Shoes took the lead with a pair of two-run frames in the fourth and fifth. Bushur had another RBI double in the fourth and Siemer had a two-run double in the fifth. THS capped its scoring when Caleb Bloemer came through with a two-run double in the seventh.

Bushur was the starter and got the win. He went the first four innings, allowing seven hits and four runs. Cade Buehnerkemper pitched the fifth and Caleb Siemer pitched the final two innings to record the save.

T-Town improved to 3-1 on the young season. The Shoes will be back in action Saturday when they travel to St. Joe-Ogden.
