Mick Niebrugge continued his hot hitting, collecting three hits, and Mitch Koester drove in three runs, helping the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes post a 10-1 win Thursday at Charleston.

The Shoes have now won three straight and seven of their last eight games.

T-Town jumped on top early, scoring two runs in the first and another in the third. But a five-run third put THS in control.,

Garrett Gaddis was hit by a pitch, Davin Worman walked and Mick Niebrugge singled to load the bases. A sacrifice fly by Austin Borries brought home the first run and Koester followed with a two-run single. Evan Waldhoff then added an RBI double and Conner Hoelscher drove in the fifth run with a base hit.

Logan Lawson turned in six strong innings on the mound. He allowed just four hits and one run. He walked only one and struck out five, while throwing 79 pitches. Andrew Probst pitched the seventh.

The Shoes, now 12-5, are scheduled to return to action today (Tuesday) at St. Anthony.
