Garrett Gaddis, Mitch Koester and Mick Niebrugge each drove in three runs Monday night, helping the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes post a 13-3, five-inning home win over South Central on Senior Night.

Gaddis went 4-for-4 in the game and scored five runs to go along with his three RBI, while Koester had three hits and Mick Niebrugge added a pair in the team’s 14-hit attack.

Koester and Mick Niebrugge both had run-scoring singles, helping the Shoes grad an early 2-0 lead in the first inning.

T-Town added five more tallies in the second. Zac Niebrugge, Brett Kreke and Gaddis all singled to load the bases. Mick Niebrugge drove in a pair of runs with a base hit, Joey Niebrugge added an RBI single and two runs scored on two South Central errors.

THS added two more runs in the third, a single tally in the fourth and ended the game with a three-run fifth.

Evan Waldhoff pitched the first four innings to get the win. He didn’t allow a hit, while walking two and striking out four. Carter Hoene pitched the fifth, giving up one hit.

The Shoes improved to 14-8 on the season. They will play today (Tuesday) at Newton.
