Lincoln took advantage of a lead-off walk to push across the winning run in the sixth inning, finishing with a 3-2 victory at home Tuesday over Teutopolis.

The game was tied 2-2 when Seth Tungate got a walk to start the bottom of the sixth. Tungate stole second, went to third on a fly ball and scored on Daulton Miller’s ground out.

The host Railers scored two runs in the opening inning, but the Shoes tied the score in the fourth.

Andy Niebrugge led off with a walk, Evan Addis singled and both runners moved up on a ground out. With two outs, Mitch Althoff delivered a base hit that drove in both runners and tied the score at 2-2.

Addis pitched a strong game, but took the loss. He allowed just four hits and three runs, while walking three and striking out two.

The Shoes dropped to 11-4 overall and 1-1 in the Apollo Conference. They will return to action Saturday with another Apollo Conference game at Mt. Zion.
