North Clay, now 17-1 on the season, reached the final game after posting a 15-1 win over Neoga. The Shoes advanced with a 12-2, five-inning decision over Altamont.
Mitch Althoff, Roepke and Pruemer each drove home three runs to lead the offense. Mitch Althoff and Roepke both had three hits in the 12-hit attack.
The Indians combined a single, two walks and a wild pitch to score a run in the top of the second. But the Shoes bounced back with the first of their two five-run innings in the bottom of the inning.
Konkel was hit by a pitch to start the second. Roepke then singled and Pruemer followed with a two-run double to put the Shoes on top to stay. Later in the inning, one run scored on an error, Ben Goeckner had an RBI single and Konkel walked with the base loaded to force in the fifth run.
Roepke had a run-scoring double and Pruemer a sacrifice fly in the fourth as the Shoes increased their lead to 7-1. Altamont got an RBI double from Wyatt Phillips in the fifth, but T-Town ended the game with a five-run fifth.
Two errors and a walk loaded the bases and Mitch Althoff then cleared them with a three-run double. The Shoes loaded the bases again and Roepke ended it with a two-run single, accounting for the 10-run cushion.
Kayden Althoff pitched the first four innings to get the win. He gave up four hits and one run, while walking four and striking out six. Dillan Elam took the loss for Altamont.
The Shoes are now 6-8 on the season. They will return home for a game against Odin on Monday.
