The Teutopolis Lady Shoes used a big second quarter to build a comfortable lead and went on to post a 48-35 victory Thursday night at St. Joe-Ogden.

T-Town led 14-9 after the opening eight minutes and then went on a 16-4 scoring run in the second period to build a 30-13 halftime lead.

The Lady Spartans outscored THS 22-18 in the second half, but the Lady Shoes still came home with a double-digit victory.

Teutopolis had three players in double figures. Kaitlyn Schumacher led the way with 12 points, while Kaylee Niebrugge scored 11 and Emily Konkel added 10. Konkel and Niebrugge also had eight rebounds apiece.

The Lady Shoes improved to 5-2. They will return home Monday to play St. Anthony.
