It didn’t come easy, but the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes posted another win Tuesday night.
They traveled to Paris, fell behind early, but came back to get a 50-45 victory over the Tigers.
Conor Breneman scored 10 of his game-high 18 points and helped Paris jump out to an 18-9 lead after the opening eight minutes.
But the Shoes started surging back in the second period. Dylan Pruemer knocked down a pair of three-pointers, T-Town went on a 12-6 run and closed to within 24-21 at halftime.
THS used the free throw line to grab the lead in the third period. The Shoes made 7-of-9 foul shots, got a three-point play from Pruemer and led 36-33 entering the final quarter. T-Town then went 6-of-8 from the charity stripe down the stretch to maintain its lead and secure the win.
Max Niebrugge and Pruemer shared scoring honors with 11 points each, and Caleb Siemer added 10.
The Shoes, now 5-1 on the season, will return home Friday to face Bloomington Central Catholic on Homecoming Night.
