Mt. Zion outscored Teutopolis 16-10 in the fourth quarter to come away with a 50-46 win at home Tuesday night.
The Braves led throughout the first half, owning a 13-6 edge after the first eight minutes and a 21-18 advantage at halftime.
The Shoes then outscored Mt. Zion 18-13 in the third quarter to take a 36-34 lead, but the hosts came back to get the victory.
Max Niebrugge was the only THS player to reach double figures, finishing with 11 points. Brendan Niebrugge, Caleb Siemer and Mitch Althoff each scored eight.
The Shoes dipped to 14-6 on the season. They will play two more games this week – Friday at home against Breese Mater Dei; and Saturday at Taylorville.
