Breese Mater Dei used a strong second half to come back and post a 46-43 victory Friday night at Teutopolis.
The host Shoes held a 25-17 advantage at halftime, but the Knights went on a 16-6 scoring run in the third period to put the visitors on top 43-41. They then outscored T-Town 13-12 in the final eight minutes to come away with the win.
Mater Dei had a balanced scoring attack with three players in double figures. Cameron Haag and Jacob Patton both had 12 points and Dalton Markus added 10.
Max Niebrugge led all scorers with 17 points and Caleb Siemer added 12.
The Shoes dipped to 15-7 on the season. They will be back in action today (Saturday), traveling to Taylorville.
