The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes used a big fourth quarter to pull away and post a 56-48 victory at home Tuesday night over Casey-Westfield.

It was the 20th win of the season for the T-Town boys.

The game was close throughout. The Shoes led 15-11 after the opening eight minutes and 23-21 at halftime. It was still a slim two-point margin, 35-33, entering the fourth quarter.

The Shoes made 9-of-10 free throws in the final period and got a three-pointer from Joey Ruholl, sparking a 21-15 scoring surge that secured the win.

Caleb Siemer had 13 points for T-Town, while Max Niebrugge added 12. Brendan Niebrugge chipped in with nine and Dylan Pruemer scored eight.

The Shoes improved to 20-7 with the win. They will be back in action at home Saturday as part of the 9th annual Wooden Shoes Shootout. They will play the final game of the day against Paxton-Buckley-Loda. That game is scheduled for approximately 5:30 p.m.
