Caleb Siemer, Brendan Niebrugge and James Niebrugge combined for 53 points Friday night, helping the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes post an impressive 73-60 road victory at Bloomington Central Catholic.

The Shoes held a slim 14-11 lead after the first period, but then went on a 22-13 scoring spree to open a double-digit lead. James Niebrugge scored eight points and Brendan Niebrugge knocked down a pair of threes, as THS built a 36-24 advantage at intermission.

Siemer scored seven points in the third period and T-Town maintained its double-digit advantage, 52-39. The Shoes then converted 14-of-19 free throws in the final eight minutes to secure the victory.

Siemer and Brendan Niebrugge both tallied 18 points and James Niebrugge added 17.

Bloomington Central Catholic standout Cole Certa led all scorers with 25 points.

T-Town improved to 6-1 on the season. The Shoes will return home and host Effingham on Tuesday night.
