Alex Kremer scored a career-high 18 points Saturday afternoon, helping the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes post a 63-49 victory at home over Prairie Central.
The Shoes built a 21-14 lead after the opening eight minutes and were never headed. They led 37-29 at intermission and 49-37 heading into the final quarter.
Garrett Gaddis and Joey Niebrugge joined Kremer in double figures, both finishing with 10 points. Niebrugge and Austin Bloemer both pulled seven rebounds.
The Shoes improved to 13-6 on the season. They will face a tough road test Tuesday when they travel to Mt. Zion. The Braves are 19-1 on the season after losing 72-69 at Metamora on Friday.
