It took eight minutes to get going.
But when they did, the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes erased a nine-point deficit and turned it into a 63-50 victory Saturday at home over Robinson.
The Maroons jumped out to a 22-13 lead after the first quarter. The Shoes then put together two solid periods back-to-back, outscoring Robinson 38-16 during that 16-minute stretch. Heading into the fourth period, T-Town held a 51-38 advantage.
Joey Niebrugge led the THS scoring attack with 13 points and Mitch Koester added nine. Tyler Pruemer scored just two points, but he pulled down nine rebounds and handed out four assists.
The Shoes improved to 16-9 on the season. They will be back in action Tuesday night at home against Robinson.
