Two games.

Two impressive wins

Not a bad way to start the season.

The Teutopolis Lady Shoes built an early lead, had four players in double figures and cruised to a 68-29 victory Wednesday over Champaign Central in their second game of the North American Lighting Tournament in Paris.

Anna Probst scored nine points and T-Town raced to a 19-6 lead after the opening eight minutes. The lead ballooned to 20 points – 35-15 – by intermission. THS led 57-29 after three quarters and then held Champaign Central scoreless in the final period.

Anna Probst finished with a game-high 20 points. Kelsey Niemerg scored 13 and both Chloe Probst and Mollie Ruholl added 10.

The Lady Shoes will play two games on Saturday. They will face Olney at 11:30 a.m. in the Ernie Eveland Gymnasium in Paris.

The winner of that game will play for the tournament championship at 3:30 p.m. The loser will be in the third place game at 2 p.m. Both of those games will be at Paris High School.
