The Teutopolis Lady Shoes jumped out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back Saturday, posting a 43-27 victory at St. Joe-Ogden.
Kaitlyn Schumacher scored four points and Lexie Niebrugge added a three-pointer, as T-Town built a 12-0 lead after the opening eight minutes. SJO got within 19-9 at halftime, but the Lady Shoes went on an 18-8 scoring run in the third period, with Lexie Niebrugge draining a trio of threes and scoring 11 points, to expand the lead to 20 points, 37-17.
Lexie Niebrugge led the scoring attack with a game-high 21 points. Schumacher added nine. Izzy Hardiek and Schumacher led the lead with seven rebounds apiece.
The Lady Shoes improved to 12-5 overall. They will return home Monday to face Mahomet-Seymour and then travel to Mt. Zion to finish Apollo Conference play Thursday night. THS is 8-4 in the league.
T-Town will then end its season Saturday at home against Paris.
