The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes stepped outside conference play Saturday and posted a 69-48 victory at St. Joe-Ogden.
T-Town led throughout. The Shoes led 17-10 after the opening eight minutes, expanded it to double-digits, 34-23, at halftime and then built a 15-point advantage, 47-32, heading into the fourth period.
Jordan Hardiek turned in a strong all-around game. The THS senior knocked down a pair of three-pointers, led the team with 21 points and also grabbed six rebounds and handed out seven assists. Evan Wermert also cracked double figures with 14 points and added six assists.
The Shoes improved to 11-4 overall entering the final week of the season. They will play four times, beginning Monday night at Olney. T-Town will then play back-to-back Apollo Conference contests – Tuesday at home against Mahomet-Seymour and Friday at Mt. Zion. The Shoes are 5-4 in league play.
Teutopolis will conclude its season at home Saturday against Paris.
