Ava Goble scattered six hits and Megan Cribelar went 4-for-4, leading the Casey-Westfield Lady Warriors to a 6-1 softball victory Monday afternoon at home over Teutopolis.
Goble allowed only six singles, while walking one and striking out six over her seven innings of work.
Cribelar had a pair of doubles to go along with two singles and drove in two runs for Casey-Westfield. The hosts scored a single tally in the first and then added three runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth.
The Lady Shoes scored their lone run in the top of the sixth. With one out, Chloe Hoene, who had three of the team’s six hits, got a single. She stole second, went to third on a wild pitch and scored when Olivia Hemmen delivered an RBI single.
Hemmen took the loss. She went six innings, allowing 10 hits and six runs. She walked one and struck out two.
The Lady Shoes, now 4-4, are scheduled to play today (Tuesday) at Greenville.
