The Teutopolis Lady Shoes had their hitting shoes on Saturday.
They banged out 26 hits and scored 22 runs in two games.
As a result, they defeated both Cumberland and Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond (ALAH) to capture the Sullivan Invitational.
In the opener, T-Town had 12 hits, including three home runs, and beat Cumberland 12-6.
In the nightcap, the Lady Shoes had 14 more hits and rolled to a 10-4 win over ALAH.
A seven-run second inning proved to be the difference in the first game. Olivia Hemmen belted a two-run homer to drive in the first two tallies and Mallory Bloemer capped the frame with another two-run blast. Summer Wall and Chloe Hoene also had RBI singles.
Malea Helmink added a solo homer in the fourth.
Hemmen got the win. She allowed 11 hits and six runs in seven innings for work. She walked three and struck out three.
In the second game, Wall, Helmink and Bloemer each had three hits and combined to drive in eight runs.
The Lady Shoes took the lead with a four-run second. Alyssa Tipton and Olivia Copple both walked and Wall singled to load the bases. Helmink and Bloemer then delivered two-run singles to give THS a 6-3 lead.
T-Town added three more runs in the third and a final tally in the sixth.
Tipton went all seven innings to get the win. She allowed nine hits and four runs, while walking four and striking out seven.
The Lady Shoes completed their regular season with a 15-17 record. They will now play in the St. Anthony Class 2A Regional. T-Town is the No. 8 seed and will play at home today (Monday) at 4:30 p.m. against Cerro Gordo.
