The St. Anthony Bulldogs erupted for seven runs in the second inning and received five innings of scoreless baseball from Brody Niebrugge, en route to an 11-0 win at home Monday over Christ Our Rock Lutheran.

Niebrugge was in total control in his 67-pitch outing. He allowed just four hits while recording the shutout. The righthander also struck out 10 and didn’t walk a batter.

After the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the first, they put the game away with a seven-run second. They only had four hits, but took advantage of three errors, a walk, two passed balls and a wild pitch. Brock Jansen and Eli Link both had RBI doubles in the frame.

Angelo Mendella and Niebrugge drove in runs with base hits in the third as St. Anthony wrapped up the scoring.

The Bulldogs improved to 11-4 on the season. They will play at Woodlawn on Wednesday.
