The St. Anthony Bulldog scored early and often Monday afternoon and rolled to a 14-0, five-inning victory at Odin.

The Bulldogs banged out 12 hits and took advantage of seven walks and four Odin errors to score six unearned runs.

St. Anthony also received a strong pitching performance from Brock Fearday. The righthander went four innings, allowing just four hits and no runs. He struck out two and didn’t walk a batter. Sammy Link pitched a scoreless fifth.

The Bulldogs scored what proved to be the winning run in the opening inning. Angelo Mendella was hit by a pitch and scored when Brody Niebrugge drove in his first of three runs with a two-out double.

SAHS broke the game open with a six-run second. Eli Link and Brock Fearday singled and Eli Levitt reached on an error to load the bases. The first run scored when Brady Hatton was hit by a pitch. Colton Fearday drew a bases loaded walk, Niebrugge had an RBI single, Link hit a sacrifice fly and the final two tallies scored on a wild pitch and a passed ball.

The Bulldogs pushed three more runs across the plate in the third. Mendella had an RBI double, while Colton Fearday and Niebrugge both had run-scoring singles. They capped their scoring with a four-run fourth, combining two hits, three walks and two errors.

The Bulldogs improved to 13-5. They will play at home today (Tuesday) against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.
