The St. Anthony Bulldogs scored four runs in back-to-back innings to break open a close game, en route to a 10-0, five-inning victory Saturday at Marshall.

The Bulldogs scored two runs in the top of the first inning and then added four runs in both the fourth and fifth to pull away.

Joe Tegeler went the first four innings to get the win. He allowed just two hits, while walking two and striking out six. Sam Link then pitched a scoreless fifth.

Brock Fearday, Connor Roepke and Aiden Lauritzen led the offensive attack. They combined for six hits and six RBI. Lauritzen also scored three times.

Roepke staked St. Anthony to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Beau Adams walked and Lauritzen singled and both runners moved up a base on a fly ball. Roepke then delivered a base hit to put the Bulldogs on top.

In the fourth, Will Fearday was hit by a pitch, went to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on an error. Lauritzen followed with a run-scoring single and Brock Fearday then sent a 3-2 pitch sailing over the centerfield fence for a two-run homer that made it 6-0.

St. Anthony crossed the plate four more times in the fifth. One run scored on a groundout and the other three were all a result of RBI doubles by Will Fearday, Max Koenig and Brock Fearday.

The Bulldogs are now 14-1 on the season. They will play Monday at Dieterich.

The St. Anthony Bulldogs scored five runs in the first inning and that proved to be enough, as they rolled to a 6-3 win Wednesday at home over Charleston.

The Bulldogs struck quickly in the opening frame. Beau Adams was hit by a pitch and Aiden Lauritzen walked to start things off. After a double steal, Connor Roepke singled to drive in the first two runs of the game. A walk and another hit batter loaded the bases. Two more runs scored on a Charleton error and Adams capped the inning with an RBI single.

Henry Brent’s single drove in a run in the third inning to make it a 6-0 lead. The Bulldogs carried that into the sixth inning. The Trojans scored twice in the sixth and added another tally in the seventh.

Lauritzen pitched four scoreless innings to get the win. He allowed just two hits, while walking four and striking out two. Sam Link pitched one inning and Brady Hatton the final two.

The Bulldogs, now 13-1, will play Saturday at Marshall.

Brock Fearday and Sam Link both drove in four runs and the St. Anthony Bulldogs pounded out 13 hits Thursday, en route to a 13-4 win at Troy Triad.

Fearday had an RBI single in the third and belted a three-run homer in the five-run seventh. Link also had a run-scoring single in the third, a two-run double in the sixth and drove home the final run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

St. Anthony scored in bunches, pushing four runs across in both the third and sixth and then tallying five time in the seventh.

Brock Fearday led the 13-hit attack with three hits, while Connor Roepke, Link, Will Fearday and Henry Brent each had two hits. Roepke drove in two runs with a double in the sixth and Hatton also had a pair of RBI with a two-run triple in the third.

Brock Fearday pitched the first 4.2 innings to get the win. He allowed five hits and two runs, while walking four and striking out four. Beau Adams, Link and Hatton finished up. They combined for 2.1 innings of work.

The Bulldogs, now 10-0 on the season, are scheduled to be in action today (Friday) at home against Monticello.

Joe Tegeler pitched four-plus strong innings and the St. Anthony Bulldogs banged out 15 hits, en route to a 16-5, six-inning win Saturday over the University Trailblazers.

University came back to take the nightcap, 13-3, and hand SAHS its first loss of the season.

Tegeler allowed seven hits and four runs, while walking two and striking out three in 4.1 innings of work. Sam Link and Aiden Lauritzen finished up.

The Bulldogs took control early with a five-run first inning. Beau Adams singled and Lauritzen walked to get things started. Connor Roepke and Will Fearday drove in runs with ground outs, Brady Hatton had an RBI single and two runs scored on errors.

Adams, Hatton and Link all finished with three hits.

The Trailblazers used a five-run second to take control in the nightcap.

Vince Vogel had an RBI double in the second and the Bulldogs scored two more in the fifth. Adams drove in one with a base hit and the other run scored on an error.

Hatton took the loss.

St. Anthony, now 11-1, will return home Tuesday to face Teutopolis.

Aiden Lauritzen pitched into the seventh inning and Brock Fearday drove in a pair of runs Monday, helping the St. Anthony Bulldogs record a 7-2 win at home over Mahomet-Seymour.

Lauritzen pitched 6.1 innings and threw 97 pitches. He allowed six hits and a pair of runs in the second inning when the Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead. The righthander walked five and didn’t strike out a batter. Brock Fearday came on in the seventh and recorded the final two outs.

After Mahomet-Seymour took the lead in the second, the Bulldogs began to chip away. They scored a run in the second and tied the game in the third when Fearday delivered a two-out RBI single.

St. Anthony then took control with a four-run fifth. And it all started with two outs. Beau Adams reached on an error and Lauritzen walked. Fearday then drove in the go-ahead run with a base hit. Connor Roepke delivered an RBI double and two more runs scored on errors.

The Bulldogs capped their scoring with a single tally in the seventh, driven in by Henry Brent.

St. Anthony improved to 9-0 on the season. They will be back in action Thursday, playing at home against Troy Triad.
