The Effingham, Teutopolis and St. Anthony boys and girls cross country teams participated Thursday in the Robinson Invitational.
St. Anthony finished fifth in the 25-team boys events with a team score of 147. Olney was the team champion with 65 points. Effingham was 10th with 254 and Teutopolis 11th with 309 team points.
In the girls race, the Lady Hearts were sixth overall with a score of 203, while T-Town was eighth at 211 and the Lady Bulldogs 14th with 318. Unity won the 23-team girls race with 32 points.
For the Bulldogs, Brian Dust finished fourth individually with a time of 16:03.68. Noah Tegeler was 31st in 17:33.07, Ty Wiedman 35th in 17:45.01, Austin Faber 36th in 17:46.18 and Griffen Elder 41st in 17:53.51.
For the EHS boys, Alfredo Lopez ran 10th in 16:31,01, Clayton Cramsey 44th in 17:59.32, Zeel Patel 59th in 18:32.61, Andrew Donaldson 66th in 18:43.35, and Dane Seiler 75th in 19:08.23.
For the Wooden Shoes, Cole Probst was 46th in 18:00.71, Matthew Deters 53rd in 18:23.07, Kendall Tabbert 67th in 18:47.07, Brody Mette 71st in 18:56.56 and Ben Kitten 72nd in 18:57.66.
For the Lady Hearts, Kiley Weber finished 21st in 20:19.62, Marah Kirk 23rd in 20:24.88, Nicole Schneiderjon 29th in 21:13.24, Hope Monnet 57th in 23:05.47 and Daelyn Dunston 73rd in 25:01.66.
Jessica Runde was the top performer for the Lady Shoes, finishing 13th overall with a time of 19:46.18. Tory Tensen was 34th in 21:27.54, Abby Bloemer 38th in 21:47.42, Ella Zumbahlen 58th in 23:14.71 and Katie Kingery 68th in 24:03.83.
For the Lady Bulldogs, Rilie Willenborg ran 42nd in 21:59.93, Riley Guy 49th in 22:30.65, Audrey Niebrugge 67th in 24:03.52, Jessica Wilson 72nd in 24:56.48 and Abby Dietzen 88th in 29:12.11.
St. Anthony will run Saturday in the Peoria Invitational.
T-Town will run Tuesday at Newton.
Effingham will return to action Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Centralia Invitational.
The Teutopolis boys and girls competed Saturday in the St. Joseph Cross Country Classic.
The Lady Shoes finished ninth overall out of 28 teams, while the Shoes were 18th in a 32-team field.
For the THS girls, Jessica Runde, Tory Tensen and Abby Bloemer each received medals. Their times were 19:45, 20:57 and 21:34 respectively.
Ethan Weidner had the best performance for the T-Town boys, turning in a time of 17:44. Also medaling was Cole Probst (17:53) and Matthew Deters (18:01.).
Teutopolis will run Thursday at the Robinson Invitational.
The Teutopolis and St. Anthony cross country teams competed Saturday at the Chrisman Cow Chip Invitational.
In the boys meet, the Bulldogs were eighth in the 14-team field. Monticello was the winner with 13 points. St. Anthony had 48 points and T-Town finished 10th with 70 points.
In the girls meet, the Lady Shoes were seventh overall with 51 points. There were eight girls teams entered. St. Anthony did not have a full team.
Each team entered seven runners, ranked 1 through 7. All the No.1 runners competed against each other, the No. 2 runners against each other, etc.

Thursday’s cross country race at Dieterich was actually decided by the sixth runner.
After their first five runners completed the course, Teutopolis and Effingham ended in a tie. But Ben Kitten, the No. 6 finisher for the Wooden Shoes, finished four seconds ahead of the Hearts’ No. 6 runner, Jon Perry, to win the tiebreaker.
Both THS and EHS finished with 30 team points, while Dieterich was third with 66.

The Teutopolis cross country teams competed Thursday in a meet at Newton.
The T-Town boys finished first with a team score of 36 points. Effingham was second with 45 and Newton third with 47.
The Lady Shoes finished second behind Newton. THS had 37 team points, while the Lady Eagles finished with 22.
