The Teutopolis boys golf team posted a close win in a triangular match Thursday at Fox Prairie Golf Course outside Windsor.

The Shoes finished with 185, followed by Shelbyville with 187 and Windsor/Stew-Stras 210.

Andy Niebrugge shot 44 to lead T-Town, while Drew Kerner finished with 46, Peyton Tegeler 46 and Zach Ruholl 49 to complete the team scoring. Also playing was Gabe Schlink (57), Kayden Zerrusen (57), Nick Buehnerkemper (68) and Gage Wendt (69).

The Shoes will return to action Monday at home against Sullivan.

Teutopolis played host to Robinson and dropped a close golf match Tuesday afternoon at Cardinal Golf Course.

Robinson prevailed by just three strokes, 178-181.

Drew Kerner shot 43 to lead the Shoes, while Andy Niebrugge finished with 44, Zach Ruholl 46 and Peyton Tegeler 48 to complete the team scoring. Also playing for THS was Gavin Meyer (49), Gabe Schlink (51), Kayden Zerrusen (58), Paul Niemerg (63), Gage Wendt (67) and Nick Buehnekemper (70).

The Shoes will play at Windsor on Thursday.

Teutopolis traveled to Pana Tuesday and dropped a 195-211 decision in boys golf.

Drew Kerner led the Wooden Shoes with a 46, while Gavin Meyer shot 57, Gabe Schlink 50 and Andy Niebrugge 52 to complete the scoring. Also competing was Zach Ruholl (53), Peyton Tegeler (57), Kayden Zerrusen (60), Gage Wendt (68) and Nick Buehnekemper (71).

The Shoes, along with Effingham and St. Anthony, will play at the Windsor/Stew-Stras Invitational on Saturday.

The Teutopolis girls golf team placed second in a quadrangular match Monday at Pana Oak Terrace.

Williamsville won the match with a team score of 194. The Lady Shoes were second with 224 and Pana was third with 235. Greenville had just three players, which wasn’t enough to generate a full team score.

Averee Bushue led T-Town with a nine-hole round of 46. Maggie Koester shot 56, Abigail Wortman 60 and Alaina Helmink 62 to complete the team scoring. Mollie Helmink (65) also played.

The Lady Shoes will be at home today (Tuesday) to face Robinson.

Averie Bushue turned in the low round of the day, but the Teutopolis Lady Shoes dropped a 197-239 golf match to Charleston,

Bushue finished with a 45, while Maggie Koester shot 58, Alaina Helmink 67 and Abigail Wortman 69 to complete the scoring at Charleston Country Club. Mollie Koester also played and shot 69.

The Lady Shoes will play Thursday in the Salem Invitational.
