The Teutopolis boys golf team traveled to Sullivan Thursday and dropped a duel match.
The Wooden Shoes finished with a 213 total, while Sullivan posted 161.
For T-Town, Drew Kerner had the team’s low nine-hole round of 49. Zach Ruholl shot 52, Gavin Meyer 55 and Andy Niebrugge 57 to complete the team scoring. Also playing were Gabe Schlick (610), Peyton Tegeler (66), Gage Wendt (69), Aiden Spour (69), Kayden Zerrusen (72), Paul Niemerg (74) and Nick Burhnekemper (76).
The Shoes will play today (Friday) in the Olney Invitational.
The Teutopolis boys traveled to Casey-Westfield Thursday and finished second in a triangular match.
The host Warriors posted a team stroke total of 190 to win the match. The Shoes were runner-up with 208 and Windsor/Stew-Stras shot 226.
Drew Kerner paced THS with a nine-hole score of 47. Rounding out the team scoring was Andy Niebrugge, who shot 53, and Zach Ruholl and Gavin Meyer, who both finished with 54. Also competing was Gabe Schlink (58), Peyton Tegeler (60), Kayden Zerrusen (66), Gage Wendt (67) and Nick Buehnekemper (69).
Both the Teutopolis boys and girls golf teams were in action Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Shoes hosted Charleston, while the T-Town boys played in a quadrangular match in Olney.
The THS girls dropped a 194-222 decision to the Lady Trojans. Averie Bushue paced the Lady Shoes with a nine-hole score of 49. Abigail Wortman shot a 52, Maggie Koester 58 and Alaina Helmink 61 to complete the team scoring. Mollie Koester (68) also participated.
The Shoes finished fourth in Olney. The host Tigers were the winners with a total of 165 strokes. Charleston was runner-up with 171, Fairfield shot 181 and T-Town finished at 206.
Drew Kerner led the Shoes with a nine-hole score of 46. Andy Niebrugge carded a 48, while Zach Ruholl shot 53 and Gavin Meyer finished at 59.
Others playing for Teutopolis were Gabe Schlink (60), Peyton Tegeler (67), Paul Niemerg (68), Kayden Zerrusen (69), Gage Wendt (70), Aiden Spour (70) and Nick Buehnerkemper (70).
The Teutopolis girls team will play today (Thursday) at Mt. Zion.
The boys will also be in action today with a match at Casey-Westfield.
The Teutopolis girls golf team journeyed to Mt. Zion Thursday, but dropped a close match to the hosts.
The final score was 217-220.
Averie Bushue had the low round for the Lady Shoes, finishing with a nine-hole total of 47. Maggie Koester shot 51, Abigail Wortman 56 and Alaina Helmink 66 to round out the team scoring. Mollie Koester also played and shot a 67.
THS will return to action Thursday at Sullivan.

Drew Kerner and Gavin Meyer both had nine-hole rounds of 55 to lead the Wooden Shoes. Andy Niebrugge added a 56 and Zach Ruholl 58 to complete the team scoring. Gabe Schlink (62), Peyton Tegeler (78) and Paul Niemerg (80) also competed for T-Town.
The Shoes will play Wednesday at Olney and Thursday at Casey-Westfield.
