Paige Cutright is one of the better softball pitchers in the area and proved why Monday afternoon.

The Casey-Westfield hurler allowed just two hits in her 78-pitch performance and posted a 9-0 shutout at home over Teutopolis.

Cutright walked two and struck out seven. She allowed two-out singles to Danielle Sarchet and Estella Mette – both in the fourth inning.

Cutright also had a pair of hits and drove in three runs for the Lady Warriors. Casey-Westfield scored a single tally in the second, added three runs in the third and then broke it open with a five-run sixth. They finished with 12 hits.

Courtney Gibson took the loss for T-Town.

The Lady Shoes dipped to 5-2 on the spring. They are scheduled to play today (Tuesday) at Greenville and then return home to face Altamont on Thursday.
