The Teutopolis Lady Shoes rallied for seven runs in the final two innings Thursday to come from behind and post a 10-9 win at Windsor/Stew-Stras.
T-Town trailed 8-3 when it came to bat in the sixth. Olivia Copple walked and Emily Konkel was hit by a pitch to get things started. After both runners moved up a base, Daisha Piedra singled to drive both runners in. Piedra later scored on a wild pitch to trim the gap to 8-6.
After WSS added a single tally in the bottom of the sixth, the Lady Shoes then put together a go-ahead rally. Courtney Gibson led off the inning with a double and Summer Wall brought her in with a base hit. After Copple was hit by a pitch, Konkel delivered a game-tying, two-run double. Piedra then drove in the winning run with a ground out.
Gibson, who pitched all seven innings, allowed a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh before recording the final out to seal the win.
THS collected 11 hits in the contest, with Konkel, Gibson and Wall each getting two. Konkel and Piedra both drove in three runs.
The Lady Shoes, winners of four straight, improved to 9-2. They will play again today (Friday) at home against Flora.
