Daisha Piedra and Courtney Gibson both had three hits and combined to drive in seven runs Tuesday afternoon, helping the Teutopolis Lady Shoes post a convincing 13-3 win at home over Tuscola.

The Lady Shoes scored two runs in the opening inning, pushed across four in the second and added two more in the third to build an early 8-0 lead.

A pair of Tuscola errors helped T-Town score the two first-inning runs. In the second, Summer Wall had a lead-off single and Erin Althoff was hit by a pitch. Piedra, Kaylee Niebrugge and Gibson all delivered RBI singles and the fourth run scored on a wild pitch.

Piedra had a two-run double in the third and an RBI single in the fifth and Gibson added a two-run double in the fifth.

Gibson also got the win. She went six innings and allowed three runs on seven hits. She walked three and struck out six.

The Lady Shoes improved to 11-2. They will play Thursday at Neoga.
